A multi-purpose treatment that can target a number of concerns.

What is Microneedling?

Microneedling is a procedure that injures the areas treated and allows the body to work its magic and repair itself. It’s a controlled stimulation that creates tiny, microscopic injuries on the skin and your skin’s self-repairing process promotes collagen and allows products to penetrate deeper into the skin for effective results. It targets a number of different conditions or concerns such as acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, skin texture, and so on. At ML Aesthetics Clinic, we use the Dp4 from DermapenWorld which is an industry-leading device for this procedure, and it’s 104% faster than the other microneedling pens on the market.

Treatment Benefits

The procedure has so many benefits such as the following:
  • Improves appearance of acne scars
  • Reduces hyperpigmentation and stretch marks
  • Improves skin elasticity, texture, and tone
  • Diminishes some fine lines and wrinkles
  • Reduces the appearance of large pores
  • Reverses sun damage

Treatment Process

Prior to the treatment, the targeted areas are typically numbed to allow for a comfortable experience. Following that, our medical aesthetic professional uses the microneedling pen and glides it across the skin evenly to ensure A-grade results. The procedure takes up to 45 minutes to an hour on average and the client may require multiple sessions to achieve the desired goal.

Most clients require 2-6 sessions to achieve their desired beauty goals. We always recommend waiting at least one month between each treatment.
The skin needs some time to heal after the procedure. So, during this time, it’s important to avoid sun exposure and wear proper sunblock with a high SPF. We also recommend avoiding makeup application and swimming pools for a couple of days post-procedure.
Most patients are good candidates, but there are a few that shouldn’t do the procedure. Anyone with skin infections must wait until the infection completely subsides before going through with this treatment. Pregnant and nursing women are also not recommended for this treatment.
